Silk Flowers Acrylic Print

I loved the colors in this silk flower arrangement and decided to capture them on canvas. This was my first attempt at a floral painting and each bloom involved a lot of detailed brush work. I worked in many layers, adding more depth and detail to each bloom each time I returned to work on this piece.

Deborah was born in Akron, Ohio, and during her childhood, she spent several years in Northern France and Quebec, Canada. After graduation from Ohio State University with a B.A. in Communications, Deborah lived near Los Angeles, California, where she worked in and around the medical and entertainment fields for more than a dozen years. She has always dabbled in both creative and performing arts. Currently, Deborah lives with her husband on a small horse farm in Maryland. When not riding or involved in horse care, Deborah enjoys translating her love of nature and animals into works of art. (Deborah is pictured with homebred racehorse Spicer Cub.)
